Little House on the Prairie

Samantha has loved the Little House on the Prairie books for a while now, and this Christmas she got the Little House TV Series on DVD.

We've enjoyed watching the DVD's here and there over the past month.

And then this weekend we had a bit of a marathon. I think we watched about 10 episodes.

I used to love the Little House series as a girl, and it's fun to enjoy it now as a family.

This morning we woke up and found out that buses were canceled. That's right. Another snow day.

We stayed in bed a little longer. Had pancakes for breakfast in our pj's. Did some piano practicing and caught up on theory sheets. Made the beds and tidied up a little.

Then sat down to watch some Little House on the Prairie.

  1. Little House On The Prarie is one of those beautiful clasics, that never is out dated. Oh how I wish we could still sit down and enjoy weekly episodes of the same caliber today. Good for you .....making time with your family for a spiritual lift as a family. I can't think of a better way of spending a snow day while enjoying home made pancakes at the same time. Yes!

  3. I can't believe how many snow days you've had! I only watched 2 episodes with her when I was there, but I loved it. Such a great gift!

  4. Love that show. I did read Melissa Gilbert's autobiography and her behind-the-scenes commentary tainted my opinion of all the actors on Little House. I'll just have to pretend the show is real to enjoy it.
