Feedblitz, Anyone?

Sometimes life is just so busy! I was thinking about this today while I was feeding my kids sandwiches for dinner in the van as we picked up Samantha from her piano lesson and drove straight to her soccer game. Scott was able to take a few minutes to come to the game before heading back to office for a few more hours of work!

The good news is that Nana is here in town for a couple of days to watch our children while Scott & I head up to the cottage with two other couples for a weekend getaway in Tobermory. We are really looking forward to it!

So, things may be a little quiet around here for a couple of days... but I'll be back soon - hopefully with some great pictures of the Bruce Peninsula and Georgian Bay.

You may have noticed the new "Subscribe me!" button I added on the sidebar to the right. If you want to get email updates for my blog you can sign up and Feedblitz will let you know when new posts are added. I have one subscriber already (thanks, Scott!) :)

Have a great weekend!

Saying Good-bye

(Jesse, Jayce & Brett)

Our friends Sarah and Brent just moved to Calgary last week with their 2 boys, Jayce and Kai. We met them about 2 years ago when they moved to London for graduate school. We have really enjoyed getting to know them over the past couple of years.

When they first moved here, Jayce was just a new baby, and our boys took to him right away - especially Brett. Despite his young age, Brett is very good with babies and young children. He loves to take care of them, play with them, and most of all, make them laugh!

Brett and Jesse were very sad to learn that Jayce was moving away. Hopefully we'll get to see each other in August when we're out there for vacation. We'll miss you Jayce!

Playin' In the Dirt

When you're three years old, playing outside in the sunshine is about as good as it gets. Ever since the weather started to warm up this Spring, Jesse has been loving the outdoors. He loves to play in the dirt and two of his favourite things are "digging for treasure" and "planting marigolds". He also spends a lot of time searching for worms and playing soccer.

I love how Jesse is such a passionate boy. He has an "all-or-nothing" attitude towards everything - even play time. He is so full of life and has a great sense of humour. There are days when I think - if I could just borrow some of Jesse's energy, I'd have a much easier time keeping up with him.

Nathan at Four Months

I took these pictures the day Nathan turned 4 months old. I can't believe how big he's getting and how fast time is flying by.

Some of his favourite things are sleeping, eating, chewing on his hands, smiling at anyone that gives him a little attention, and the sound of his own voice (or, as Samantha likes to call it, "the opera"). He is such a happy baby. He doesn't really enjoy his swing anymore, but he does love his stroller. Good thing, too, as he practically lives in it these days with all the activities we have going on and another month of school to go.

Most people say Nathan looks so different from our other babies. It must be all that curly hair he has inherited from the Samhuri side of the family!

Toothless

Wow, has it really been 2 months since I started this blog?? I guess I had better get busy posting!

Samantha turned 7 last weekend and decided to have a Slumber Party! (Scott's idea) She invited 7 friends and 5 of them slept over. She had everything planned out - crafts, games, prizes, cupcakes, snacks, movie - the whole thing. Despite their plans to pull an all-nighter, the last girls finally fell asleep just after midnight. Unlike Samantha, who takes advantage of Saturday mornings to sleep in as late as possible, her friends (and Brett) were up at 6:00 AM. I think my favourite part was our Saturday afternoon nap! :)

The day after her birthday, Samantha lost her third tooth! And she has 2 more wiggly teeth that are on their way out as well. Samantha, you might have to start sharing baby food with Nathan soon!
