Easter Baking: Some Fun Treats

We found some yummy treats to make this Easter from a great website called Our Best Bites.

First we made this Glass Block Jello.

The kids were really excited about the Jello blocks and they looked awesome!

But they were happier eating the coloured blocks in the pan before the white layer was added. So next time we might just stop there and have colourful jello salad.

We also made these Cadbury Egg Cookies.

They were wonderful! I highly recommend these.

I made two modifications to the recipe. I used all butter, instead of butter and shortening. And I also reduced the flour to 2 1/4 cups. I think that was due to altitude, so you might need the full 2 1/2 cups where you live.

Now that Easter is over, I'm thinking these would be good to make with M&M's. And you wouldn't have to crush them up.

  1. HEY WAIT A MINUTE.....I didn't see any cookies at the Easter egg that what you hid in the freezer???? hummmm...Well maybe next time we'll get a little taste,,k. They look fabulous!!!

  2. We just found that website and were going to make those jello things too. On that website there are things called stuffed peppers. They were delicious!! We made them one night last week!!!

  3. Yum...that jello looks so A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-!

  4. So Cassandra,
I still have some of those jello blocks. They are beautiful and taste delicious. I would love your receipe.

  5. Those both look AWESOME! I have no idea how one is supposed to lose weight when people write such delicious food blogs. Ugh. I guess I'll have to sample everything they post :)

  6. We usually make a similar version of those mini egg cookies, but this year we forgot. I guess it's not too late since we still have some mini eggs left. That jello looks so cool!

I love hearing from you! :)
